Santa needs a new set of robes. Create your own whimsical costume for an 18-inch Santa doll. Kit fee of $20 includes head and body. Skill level—advanced beginner. Must be comfortable with a sewing machine.

Thread Painting

June 19, 26    1:30pm - 4:30pm

Learn techniques to make thread pictures. A small project will be completed in class. For any sewing machine. No artistic skill needed. Skill level—beginner and up.

What I Learned in Australia I learned 3 - dimensional techniques from Ken Smith and made this sample of tree fungus.

Embellishment Techniques I: Fabric manipulation, thread painting, bobbin work, sheers and netting, variations of couching, and cellophane.  Skill level--intermediate.
Embellishment Techniques II: Pick up where Embellishment Techniques I left off.  Learn how to integrate the skills you have learned.  Skill level-intermediate.  Prerequisite: must have completed Embellishment Techniques I.
Temari: Learn the traditional Japanese technique of embroidery on a sphere. Temari balls make wonderful gifts and add decorative accents to your home or office.  Skill level--beginner and above
